Oh my gosh that video was so long but it felt like 5 minutes because I was sooo sucked into it. I love all the social constructions it touched upon and how it explained a whole different aspect of how youtube is used to have a virtually different life. To think something that is used as a source of entertainment or a time killer or even a hobby, can have so much more to it. These are things most people don’t even think about or consider to be an important aspect of the way we identify ourselves and the community. Thanks for the post!

Touching. This video is a must see, he basically gave an introduction on what Youtube is and how it affects us and gives examples of how we can affect others through it; a place where we can share ourselves, a place where a simple human gesture can spread throughout the world. I also love some of the problems that Welsh highlighted, like the context problem or the identity issue. This seems like another video RSA can do ๐Ÿ˜€

But doesn’t this technically belong in a Anthropology blog, and not Sociology? ๐Ÿ˜‰
